Scholarship Recipient: Student Games in Costa Rica

September 23, 2009

Blessings in Christ. Wendy Garbutt, one of the students who receives a scholarship from Living Tree Academy, has been selected to represent Belize as a sprinter in the Central American Student Games in Costa Rica.

Sue, our fellow-laborer in Belize, has recently informed us of Wendy's upcoming event. Although our students write letters to LTA and their sponsors, Wendy had not mentioned this in her recent letters. Sue states that "Belizean children are very modest". Monkey River Village had a fund raiser and raised US$100 which Wendy needed for the expenses not covered by the government or her school. This is an amazing opportunity for her, and she has worked hard at her training.

In closing, Sue shared her appreciation of LTA by stating, "So you see what wonders Living Tree can achieve!" - so thank YOU for your continued prayers and support.

I Corinthians 9:24-25
"Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all
things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an
incorruptible."

We all have an amazing race to run, may we run it to the fullest!
