Will you be the most influential person in their life?
Living Tree Academy works on a community level involving children, parents, teachers, and LTA fellow-laborers to assure the success of each child through the developing years. In order to accomplish our mission of giving access to educational opportunities worldwide, LTA works primarily in the framework of three programs. We have not limited ourselves to these programs, however they have proven to be successful. Our programs cover early childhood education all the way through secondary education (high school).
How Living Tree Academy helps children in need.
School in a Box:
Living Tree Academy seeks out and identifies villages/communities that are in need of a pre-school program. Once identified and communication begins, a needs assessment is completed. The goal is to build a pre-school program that will be recognized by the Ministry of Education.
Living Tree Academy supplies items for a full functioning pre-school including curriculum, educational activities, floor mats, etc. These donated items are shipped to the community from the United States, thus the Program entitled "School in a Box".
Sponsorship:
Living Tree Academy identifies children with the desire to further their education but have obstacles. These obstacles to success could be in areas of finance, medical, transportation, nutrition, etc. Once these students request sponsorship, LTA communicates this student’s need to our donors primarily through the LTA website.
Outreach Ambassador:
Living Tree Academy conducts mission trips to Belize periodically throughout the year. These trips are needed to meet with those working with LTA (fellow-laborers), the children that are receiving sponsorship, to observe the LTA sponsored pre-schools and to interview children and families that are requesting sponsorship.
Note: The transportation costs are the full responsibility of individuals applying to be an Outreach Ambassador.
